Rob has worked with several JCCs, beginning with Baltimore in 1989, where in his hometown he instructed kids’ classes, summer camp, and organized adult sports leagues, before he advanced to Health and Fitness Program Director, overseeing many programs and staff. He then moved to the JCC in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he served as Health and Fitness Director, positively impacting programs, member engagement, and community outreach, before he finally settled at the Katz JCC in Southern New Jersey in 1996.

Here in South Jersey, as the Director of Health and Wellness, Rob opened the new campus in 1997, assisted with JCC Maccabi Games in 1999, coordinated a facility expansion project in 2007, and served as Games Director for JCC Maccabi Games in 2014, before deciding to move on to pursue an opportunity with the Jewish Federation earlier this month.

As Operations Director for the Federation, Rob will coordinate building and facilities planning, management, and vendor negotiations for the Federation as well as the “The Commons” 1721 project—an affordable housing for senior adults and adults over 21 with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

“While I consider Baltimore home, I’ve lived in this community and have had the good fortune to work with many wonderful people over the years,” Rob said. “I’d like to help bridge the gap among JCC, Federation, and the community, and allow us to be one team, working towards the same common goals. I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together and how our community will benefit.”
