Sports electives, recess blocks, and regular PE classes provide multiple outlets for students to exercise their bodies as well as their minds. Our student-athletes build their skills, self-confidence, and teamwork as well as school pride. Go KBA Lions!
Our students stay active during and after the school day by:
Joining the walking club and walking around KBA’s soccer and softball fields during recess
Shooting hoops with on-site access to indoor and outdoor basketball courts
Participating in indoor activities such as obstacle courses and yoga in our state-of-the-art gymnasium
Climbing and swinging on our playground equipment
Playing on our gaga courts
Participating in heart-healthy fitness challenges
Kellman Brown Academy Physical Education
The Physical Education program at Kellman Brown Academy teaches skills and instills the confidence needed to live a physically active and healthy life style while helping students discover and develop individual talents and athletic abilities. The program places specific emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship.
Pre-K – Gan:
Focus on developing gross motor skills, such as body movement and awareness, directions, balancing, fitness, catching, and throwing
1st Grade – 8th grade:
Sport skill sets are taught, emphasized, and practiced through team intramural sports played throughout the year that include: soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, ultimate frisbee, baseball, and softball
Middle school students participate in fitness testing; they run a timed mile, and perform as many push-ups and sit-ups as they can
After School Sports
5th Grade – 8th Grade Interscholastic Sports Programs:
Boys and girls traveling basketball teams that play both private and public schools throughout the South Jersey area
